mb-it.services is a small, independent workshop for free open-source tools that put accessibility and privacy first. There is no investor and no employer behind it — just one person who builds and runs these tools because they are needed, and keeps them free and ad-free for everyone.

Its heart today is dt-routes: accessible door-to-door routing with the Deutschticket — wheelchair-aware, with live elevator status, an easy-language mode, a screen-reader text view, and a companion travel mode. More tools are on the way. Supporting this page strengthens the whole workshop, and with it every project that grows out of it.

OnlyFools or Onlyfäns is a non-profit, ad-free educational project that turns the clickbait of creator-platform culture into real lessons — about consent, anti-doxing, the harm of false accusations, and respect for trans and gender-diverse people. Every subpage after the / like /name-1989 is a bait-and-switch for good: you come for the name, you stay for the truth. We take no fees, sell no data, and run no ads. Your support covers domains, hosting, and the time it takes to keep the lessons coming — nothing more, nothing locked. Thanks for being one of the good ones.

Why these tools exist

They exist because they had to: route planning that is genuinely meant for everyone — wheelchair users, blind and low-vision travellers, anyone who can't or doesn't want to pay. Accessibility is never paywalled, and that promise is enforced by an automated test in the code, not a marketing line. Free and ad-free, for good.

What keeps it going

Behind mb-it.services is one person who builds and runs it out of conviction. Servers, the self-hosted routing/geo stack (OSRM, MOTIS, Nominatim, Photon) and paid data APIs incur real monthly costs. If these tools help you and you are able to chip in, that keeps them free and helps them grow. Every bit counts — and everyone is welcome, with or without.

  1. Keep it free and ad-free for the people who rely on it most (wheelchair users, blind/low-vision travellers, anyone who can't pay).
  2. Grow coverage and tools — from today's region across all of Germany toward Europe and toward further projects

Where the support goes

  • Infrastructure: the k3s cluster, storage for OSM/OSRM/MOTIS/Nominatim data, and bandwidth for vector tiles + routing.
  • Paid data APIs: routing/geocoding fallbacks and accommodation data that aren't freely available.
  • Expansion: new tools, more coverage, and keeping the data fresh.

Transparency: every contribution goes to server costs, paid data APIs, and expansion — not profit.

Four ways to help

  1. Become a recurring supporter (this page) — even 1–3 €/month keeps the lights on and signals that free, accessible routing matters.
  2. Sponsor as a business or municipality — name credit, prioritised features, and integration into your own mobility offering on request. Tax-deductible. Email info@mb-it.services, subject Sponsoring dt-routes.
  3. Transit providers — partner with extended API quotas or direct, near-realtime data access; your passengers get prioritised, correct routing and accessible transfer paths in return. Subject Transit data partnership — dt-routes.
  4. Contribute code — the project is will be open source at ****. Routing precision, accessibility, data quality, easy language, and translations are all welcome. If you can code, test, write, or file good bug reports, that is support too.

Fair use

Personal and non-profit use is and stays free. Commercial use, resale, or embedding into your own products happens under a partnership — that is what keeps the free offer available for everyone.

Thank you for keeping mb-it.services and free, accessible tools alive. 🙏
